SyncSouth Broadband reached out to the Georgia DOE's Educational Technology Center (ETC) at Albany State University for inclusion in monthly School IT Director Meetings. From these meetings both SyncSouth Broadband and our schools are kept abreast by the ETC regarding the States objective to move to full digital instructional content. SyncSouth Broadband has worked closely with the ETC to design our system to handle the increasing digital content in distance learning and today's homework assignments.
Through our relationship with Georgia Tech’s Enterprise Innovation Institute, SyncSouth sponsors The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education program in our local middle school and high schools. The STEM Program works to raise awareness of the critical role that Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics education plays in enabling the U.S. to remain the economic and technological leader of the global marketplace of the 21st century. Under the principle that “if you teach someone to fish, you’ve fed them for life”; SyncSouth Broadband sponsors STEM programs in our schools so that our children learn the total potential that access to technology can provide to improve their lives and our community. More information on the STEM program is available at http://www.stemedcoalition.org
SyncSouth Broadband is a County Technology Authority self supported by Enterprise activities such as broadband internet service and Information Technology services. As such, SyncSouth Broadband is able to provide at no additional cost IT consultation for our County and City governments that otherwise have no IT department. This includes technology infrastructure planning, network design activities and IT purchasing support.
We offer free WiFi at our office in Arlington and are open to leasing office space there for qualified start up businesses.
